Serbians were more open and very talkative, expecting other things from life and had different habits than Swiss people do. I was sometimes even feeling (and still do) as the odd one out who doesn’t talk enough and is too shy, even in the family. In Switzerland I’m not shy, not at all. I talk a lot usually, I just keep quiet when I have less understanding of what we’re talking about. Serbian subjects often caught me on the wrong foot, little Swiss me having no response prepared for these questions that people simply don’t ask in Switzerland.
